At first
Thanks to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries’ “Rural Development Subsidy” program, we have hired two trainees as staff members. During their training, they mainly work on tasks related to travel and social media.
In this blog, we will regularly share the attractions of Senboku City and the activities the trainees are working on!
Column #1
Nice to meet you!
I am Megumi Murakami, a trainee who joined the association in September (^O^). I am from Hyogo Prefecture and moved to Tazawako, Senboku City, Akita recently. Hyogo prefecture is in west side of Japan, and Akita is in northern part of Japan. It takes 6 hours by bullet train to go to Akita from Hyogo.
In this first column, I will share my thoughts on living in Senboku City, Akita!
↑“I Want to Live Here” – The Winter Scenery of Lake Tazawa that Caught My Heart
I was drawn to the reflection of the pure white mountains on the lake and the vast snowy landscape, all in peaceful silence with no people around. ✨
First of all, the great nature!
What I love most about moving here is being surrounded by nature every day.
Since I am surrounded by nature, the view on my way to work changes every day, and it’s always amazing.
The green world gradually turns to red and orange, and before I know it, everything is covered in snow, creating a beautiful white world…
This is the first time I’ve felt the seasons so clearly.
This area has many beautiful features, like the high-quality hot springs in Nyuto Onsen Village, the crystal-clear cobalt-blue Lake Tazawa, the natural beech forests, and Mount Komagatake. What I love most is that it’s not crowded with people.
Play in nature every day!
There are also seasonal activities to enjoy in nature (*’▽’).
For mountain climbing, there’s Mount Komagatake, Mount Nyuto, and if you go a little further, you can visit Mount Hachimantai and Mount Iwate.
At Lake Tazawa, you can try SUP, swimming, sauna, cycling, and relax on the sandy beach. Today, it would be nice to go camping and sleep under the stars…
The beauty of nature is so amazing, and there’s always something I want to do every day.
Finally…
Just as I found Senboku City and fell in love with this beautiful place, which has made my daily life richer, I hope that many others will also find peace and be drawn to its charm.
Next time, Ishibashi-san will write!
