This homey farmstay runs a chestnut orchard of Saimyoji chestnuts, said to be the largest in Japan. In early spring, you can enjoy the cluster of dogtooth flowers creating a violet carpet in the woods, and a chestnut picking experience in autumn are also recommended. The Akita Nairiku Jukan Railway, a local train line, runs right in front of the lodging, making it a must for railroad enthusiasts.
