Kabazaiku (樺細工) is Kakunodate’s traditional cherry bark craft. Kabazaiku uses the bark of mountain cherry kind. In addition to its naturally beautiful patterns, deep colors, glazing and smoothness, a wide variety of everyday items are made from this craft. In this activity, you will be able to make wall hanging or coaster.
